Lara Logan
Lara Logan (born 29 March 1971) is an South African television and radio journalist and war reporter. She was a CBS News reporter from 2002 until 2018.60 Minutes executive producers Jeff Fager and Lara Logan said that her inaccurate and politcally biased report on the 2012 Benghazi attacks "the most glaring error of my entire decade of watching." In 2019, she was hired by Sinclair Broadcast Group, which is a conservative media firm. [4] She joined Fox Nation, a subscription streaming platform owned by Fox News, in January 2020. She claimed she was "dumped" by Fox Nation in March 2022. Logan was a news reporter for the Sunday Tribune in Durban during her studies (1988-1989) as well as in the city's Daily News (1990-1992). She joined Reuters Television Africa in 1992 as an executive producer. After four years then, she switched to freelance journalism. Assignments included producer/reporter/editor for ITN, Fox/SKY News in London, CBS News, ABC News in London, NBC, NBC and European Broadcasting Union. CNN employed her to report about such events as the 1998 United States Embassy bombings in Nairobi, Tanzania and the conflict in Northern Ireland.
